Celebrating the 3rd Annual Fisherman’s Appreciation Day

Posted: 6/18/12

It was a great day at the Venice pier for FCEC’s 3rd Annual Fisherman’s Appreciation Day. FCEC and its partners, including: Montrose Settlements Restoration Program, Heal the Bay, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, LA County Public Health, Seafood for the Future, LA Conservation Corps Sea Lab, United Anglers of Southern California, CDFG, Marina Del Rey Anglers, and Los Angeles Rod and Reel Club put together a hands-on program that included fishing workshops, games, giveaways, food and face-painting!

They say, “third time’s a charm,” and since the first and second times were already charming, this year’s event didn’t disappoint, reaching over 250 community members! But wait, why imagine when you can see for yourself? Check out the slideshow of anglers, families and friends coming together to learn more about the local ecology and celebrate the Los Angeles fishing community.
